About Petra
Petra Engineering Industries Co. is an engineering company established to manufacture high quality commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. The company has expanded significantly and continues its rapid growth throughout the years. This growth will continue for Petra Industries with our upcoming, new facility that is presently being built in Mafraq, Jordan. This facility will cover over 200,000 m2 of highly advanced production lines. Petra now has a facility that is over 300,000 m2 with more than 1500 employees, including highly competent technical and managerial employees with over 300 engineers.
Petra was founded in 1987, with a vision to produce a wide variety of HVAC equipment that meet a diversity of application requirements, and to export to major worldwide markets. The implementation of successful corporate and business strategies took Petra to a high level and enabled them to begin competing with long-established, high end companies.
By 1994, Petra expanded its line of HVAC equipment, utilizing some of the industry's most advanced machinery and raw materials to achieve the highest quality standards. Their valued equipment quickly gained recognition in over 20 countries worldwide.
By the new millennium, Petra designed and manufactured a large array of quality HVAC equipment to suit all commercial and industrial applications. Their extraordinary products are what brought them to the US market. The United States represented a major milestone of success for Petra considering their competitions in the market. Petra dedicatedly continues to export to the US and well over 50 other countries all over the world, including the United Kingdom, Spain, Greece, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Lebanon, Pakistan, and other African and Far East countries worldwide.

• ISO 9001 (Quality management System)
Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance approved Petra Engineering Industries by the following Quality Management Systems: BS EN ISO 9001: 2000. These systems are applicable to design, manufacture and service heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
•ISO 14001 (Environmental Managements System)
Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance approved Petra Engineering Industries by the following Environmental Management System Standards: ISO 14001: 2004. These standards are applicable to design, manufacture and service heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
•CE Mark (European Conformity)
The CE mark certified Petra’s products based on the principles of its Global Approach. Petra verified that the products matched all applicable EU directives and has been the subject of the appropriate conformity assessment procedures by Lloyds Register. Petra products comply with Machinery Low Voltage, and Electromagnetic Compatibility Directives.
•EMC Certificate through TUV Product Service
Petra is Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (EMC) certified. This certification has been achieved by a testing and conformity assessment through the TUV Product Service. This assessment emphasizes special product properties such as safety, quality, durability, environmental compatibility, and conformity to standards.
•UL Listing (Underwriter’s Laboratories)
•ETL Listing (Intertek Testing Services)
According to the 1995 heating and cooling equipment standards, Petra’s products are UL and ETL listed. In order for products to be UL and ETL listed, the products are required to be high in quality, and safe for the users of the US market. Petra was able to meet those requirements.
•ARI Certifications
According to ARI Standard 410, Petra’s chilled water, hot water and DX coils are ARI certified. This certification applies to the coils for Petra’s range of Air Handling Units.
•Eurovent
